Lynn University pursued hosting the final 2012 presidential debate to enrich its students’ educational experience. Therefore all of the tickets that may be allotted by the Commission on Presidential Debates to Lynn will go directly to students via a lottery system. The rest of the audience will be composed of invited guests of the political parties.
There is no general public access to campus from Thurs., Oct. 18-Mon., Oct. 22.
Administrators, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and the public will not receive any tickets given to the university. No debate tickets are available for the public through Lynn University.
However, there are many other ways you can participate in the debate. You can attend one of the many viewing parties or other related activities that will occur.
If you’re a student, you may participate in the ticket lottery. Starting today, Monday, Sept. 17, through Friday, Oct. 12, at 5 p.m., all full-time undergraduate, graduate and evening Lynn University students are eligible to put their names into the online lottery. The lottery registration is located on myLynn. Sign in to my.lynn.edu, click on the 2012 Debate tab, and then click on Student in the left hand column. Fill out your information on the electronic form and if you will be registered in the lottery. An official lottery drawing will take place on Sunday, Oct. 21, at noon in Perper Plaza to see which lucky students will get tickets. Lottery winners must be present to win.
